Claims Adjuster, Automobiles - Quebec
Permanent Remote
Your role Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Claims Adjuster investigates, evaluates and settles auto claims. What you bring to the position
  • Bilingual required (French/English)
  • Minimum 2 years of claims adjusting experience (auto)
  • AMF permit
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and investigative skills
  • Strong time management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
What you will do
  • Collect and analyze claims information through investigation
  • Evaluate coverages, exclusions and liability of various auto policies
  • Maintain timely and accurate records throughout claim handling
  • Maintain timely and accurate claim reserves
  • Negotiate settlement (or denial)
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both claims vendors and clients
  • Provide exceptional service
  • Provide timely reports and file presentations to Claims Manager
  • Produce analysis related to underwriting risks
  • Work both independently and as part of the claims team

Your role As a valued member of the Commercial Team, you will have the opportunity to enhance and sharpen your underwriting skills. You will be responsible for new business production, building strong relationships with our broker network and actively promoting the ICPEI brand. What you bring to the position
  • Minimum 1 year of Commercial underwriting experience
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and risk assessment

What you will do
  • Identify and underwrite new business, process renewals and endorsements
  • Build strong relationships with brokers and maintain high levels of service
  • Participate in production trips, broker visits and corporate functions as required
  • Adhere to Company guidelines, contracts, authority limits and standards
  • Analyze market trends, risk profitability, exposures and hazards
  • Contribute to the development of the Commercial team
