Your role
The Surety Producer is focused on generating new business. You will establish and manage strong relationships with our broker network.
What you bring to the position
- BA (finance/accounting) or equivalent experience
- 3 years of surety underwriting experience
- Ability to analyze and summarize financial statements
- Talent for coming up with innovative solutions
- At home in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and juggling multiple priorities
- A great team player who can also work independently
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid knowledge of MS Office
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
What you will do
- Evaluate new risks to determine acceptability and pricing.
- Analyze financial statements, capacity, collateral and character of new opportunities.
- Analyze and review projects within given authority and provide recommendations.
- Manage and audit surety portfolio.
- Contribute to the team’s ongoing improvement of processes and efficiency.
- Build and manage broker relationships.
- Participate in broker and industry events promoting the ICPEI brand.
- Available to travel
